May 9th – Roadside Cleanup

Saturday May 9th, 8:30 am.
It is time to show some pride in who we are and some respect for Mother Earth!
This is our semi-annual road side cleanup! Come help support Mother Nature!!! With a good crowd it can take an hour to do the cleanup, so bring friends!! Those with time after, we may have lunch somewhere on completion. We now park and meet at the Asia Cafe “Parking Lot” off of Callahan and Central Avenue Pike (across Callahan from the Weigles.) (Zwergin and/or Dierdrey will be there to organize the group, distribute supplies, and go over the details.) Arrival should be by 8:30am. Everyone will be briefed and outfitted with supplies and ready to start the pickup about 9:00am.
With a good turnout, we may also have a vehicle driving the route to place people at both ends and should people need to step out part way or need more supplies. Garbage bags, gloves and vests are provided… Gloves and Vests are “one size fits most.” So please help us help Mother Nature and hang out with friends at the same time.
Many Blessings!
~Zwergen

(ETW) Meet & Greet
Make your own seed tape!!
What to bring:
Seeds if you wish to use your own seeds, otherwise I will have plenty to choose from.
Scissors. Cause I only have a few pairs.
Yourself.
Everything else will be provided.
It’s winter, but there is no time like the present to start prepping your seeds for a garden for next year. Seed tape is an awesome way to get them ready for planting. You just take the tape, dig your area, and drop the tape down. Cover it up, water, wait. Pretty simple, eh?

Not sure if this was before or after Donna Jean joined the band, she joined in 1972. But it was before Pigpen died, he is in this concert/movie. Summary of what it is besides the best band ever:
“Coming Soon Synopsis NCM Fathom and Rhino Entertainment are excited to present the Grateful Dead Meet Up 2014. A complete live studio performance of the Grateful Dead captured during their legendary European tour in 1972 with audio remastered from the original analog tapes! Never officially released and never before seen in its entirety, the Berlin Beat Club studio performance features the classic 1972 lineup, and captures the Dead in their prime, playing at the height of the powers and tearing through a condensed version of a typical Europe ’72 concert, with stand-out versions of set staples like “Bertha,” “Sugaree,” and “Playing In The Band” (two versions!) and a classic “Truckin’>Drums>Other One.”. This performance features one of the last known video captures of Ron “Pigpen” McKernan, a founding member of the Grateful Dead who died shortly thereafter. Pigpen was legendary for his blues influence on the Bands many hits. The night will also include a behind the scenes exclusive of the making of Spring 1990: The Other One featuring interviews with Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, mastering engineer Jeffrey Norman and other Dead World luminaries.”
