Special Guest – Tish Owen |
Pagan Pride of East Tennessee is proud to welcome and honor this year’s special guest, Tish Owen from Nashville!
Tish will be hosting a workshop at PPD on Spellcrafting at 2pm.
Tish Owen is a mother, daughter, grandmother, wife, business owner, witch, candle maker, brewer, sailor, Pagan church leader, festival organize, psychic and author. She was born and raised and still lives in Nashville, TN. The buckle of the so called Bible Belt. Despite that she has owned a metaphysical shop for 24 years, runs the largest Pagan gathering in the southeast and also coordinates a metaphysical fair as well. She is a regular in the media, from print, to magazines, to radio and television, she admits to loving radio the best.
Her Pagan festival, Pagan Unity Festival has been running for 18 years and brings in Pagan celebrities to the South that have never been to the area before. The festival last four days in the woods in the rolling hills of Tennessee.
Spirit Fest is a metaphysical fair that features psychic readers, merchants, classes and fun. Next October a 5K, a fun run and a pet parade will be added. The benefits go to SPIRAL, Martha O’Brien Center, The American Red Cross, Safe Haven and Nashville No Kill Shelter.
Tish founded a local Pagan church, Serving Pagans in Religion and Life, under the umbrella of Aquarian Tabernacle Church. They celebrate full moons, new moons, the 8 Pagan holidays, offer classes and raise money for outreach to the Pagan community and Nashville community at large.
She is the author of Chasing the Rainbow a handbook for festival organizers, Spell It Correctly, a handbook for those who wish to know the nuts and bolts of spellcasting and A Death On Sunday, a murder mystery with a paranormal twist. She has a new book with her publisher, A Death in the Family which is due to be released in 2016.
Tish was recently featured in the Tennessean – a Nashville based newspaper. You can read the article here: http://www.tennessean.com/story/life/2015/10/27/tish-owen-nashvilles-favorite-wiccan/73544624/
